Recognising the signs

Signs of radicalisation can vary, but common indicators include
sudden changes in behaviour or appearance, becoming withdrawn
from family and friends, expressing extreme views or
intolerance, increased secrecy about activities or online
behaviour, and associating with new groups or individuals who
promote extremist ideas.
Other signs may include a fixation on a particular cause, use of hate speech, or justifying violence. It’s important to remember that these signs do not necessarily mean someone is being radicalised, but noticing several of them together may be a reason for concern and further support.
